Coming Full Circle by Webb & Vulliamy

ATL has produced a new publication as part of a research series called Coming Full Circle ? by Rosemary Webb and Graham Vulliamy from the University of York .

The research looks at the impact of New Labour's education policies on primary school teachers' work based on interviews with teachers and headteachers across 50 schools, which were originally studied as part of an ATL research project in the early ‘90s.

The particular areas focused on are: the national literacy and numeracy strategies; targets and testing; the impact of ICT; the role of teaching assistants; the primary national strategy; and classroom practice.

Copies of the 150-page publication are available from ATL's publications despatch line on 0845 4500 009. Please quote the product code PR29.

The full publication (and a summary) is also available to download from the ATL website at
